Cannonballs coming: Bradenton moves to 4-1

Altoona and West Virginia saw their games postponed, so there were only two teams in action.

— Austin Coley got a rough introduction to AAA, failing to survive the first inning and allowing six runs as Indianapolis (2-2) got blown out by Toledo, 13-3. Kevin Kramer went 2-4, but committed two errors, one of which led to four unearned runs off Tyler Jones. Christopher Bostick was 3-4 with a double.

Max Moroff: 0-5
Austin Meadows: 0-3, BB
Jose Osuna: 1-4
Jacob Stallings: 1-2

— Bligh Madris (pictured) drove in four runs as Bradenton (4-1) beat Lakeland, 7-3. Madris was 2-4 with a walk his first HR of the year. Starter Cam Vieaux, normally an extreme pitch-to-contact type, continued the trend of high K totals, fanning seven in five innings. He scuffled a little otherwise, though, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks. Bo Schultz made his regular season return from Tommy John surgery, throwing a scoreless inning and two-thirds.

Adrian Valerio: 1-4, 2B
Hunter Owen: 0-4
