Game Thread: Nova takes on Giants in Mother’s Day match up

Pirates will look to win their 6th straight as they take on the Giants for the Mother’s Day match up.

The Giants will be sending Derek Holland to the mound to face the Bucs. Holland has struggled so far this year, going 1-4 with a 5.66 ERA over 35 innings pitched.

Speaking of struggling pitchers, Ivan Nova hopes to return to April form as the month of May has not treated him kindly. He has given up five earned runs in each of his starts this month while being unable to get through five innings pitched.
