-- Indianapolis(25-25) lost again to Gwinnett 11-4 as Brandon Waddell suffered through a very difficult debut. Waddell didn’t make it out of the 2nd inning giving up 5 runs and 4 walks while recording no strikeouts. He was pulled and replaced by Casey Sadler. Sadler gave up 2 runs over 4.1 innings before being replaced by Damien Magnifico who allowed another 3 runs in 2 innings. Erich Weiss hit his first homerun of the season and Pablo Reyes hit his 2nd homer of the year. Reyes is a name to keep an eye given his respectable hitting line and positional versatility.

--Altoona(24-24) ralllied from a 3-0 deficit to defeat Akron 4-3. Eduardo Vera made his Double A debut and worked 7 innings allowing 3 runs but only one earned. Akron jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a 2nd inning homerun and added runs in both the 3rd and 4th to build a 3-0 lead. The Curve cut the deficit to 3-1 in the 6th when Jason Martin drove in Stephen Alamais. They tied things up in the 7th as Will Craig doubled home Cole Tucker and Jason Martin. Tucker had a strong night going 3-4 with a double. Stephen Alemais finally walked off the win in the bottom of the 9th with a line drive to left field to score Jordan George.
