Game thread: Williams and Flaherty set for rematch

The Pirates will be sending Trevor Williams to the mound to face Jack Flaherty in what is a rematch of last Saturday’s game.

Williams got knocked around last weekend against the Red Birds, allowing seven hits and four runs over four innings. Flaherty fared much better, only allowing one run over six innings of work.

Austin Meadows will get the day off in what is part of the new outfield rotation. Either that or his day off is due to Hurdle’s irrational fear of a Meadows vs. Flaherty match up.

Game time is 7:15pm.
