Game Thread: Bucs try for short-series sweep of White Sox

Following a thrilling, high-scoring comeback win on Tuesday night, the Pittsburgh Pirates will attempt to complete a two-game series sweep of the White Sox at this afternoon at Guaranteed Rate Field in the South Side of Chicago.

First pitch is scheduled for 2:10 PM EST and, for those of you not in the Pittsburgh area, this one is MLB.TV’s free game of the day.

Taking the mound for the Pirates will be Trevor Williams (4-2, 2.63 ERA), whose .193 batting average against ranks fifth in the National League. His counterpart will be 24-year old righthander Reynaldo Lopez (0-2, 2.43 ERA).

Corey Dickerson, who racked up four hits last night, will get a day off from the outfield as he fills the designated hitter role.
