The GCL and DSL teams are off on Sundays.
— Indianapolis (48-39) hung on for a 5-4 win over Columbus. J.T. Brubaker went four innings, allowing two runs. It looks like he came out because of a high pitch count in the fourth. He gave up four hits, walked none and struck out three. Damien Magnifico followed with three perfect innings, fanning five. Montana DuRapau couldn’t close it out in the ninth, giving up two runs before Tanner Anderson struck out the last hitter for the save. Kevin Newman and Wyatt Mathisen each went deep, Newman’s second and Mathisen’s fourth. Newman was 1-3 with a walk, Adam Frazier 0-3 with a walk, Jose Osuna 1-4 and Jason Martin 1-4 with a double.
— A walkoff single by Logan Hill gave Altoona (45-39) a 3-2 win over Trenton. Pedro Vasquez had a strong start, giving up a run over six innings on three hits and two walks. He struck out four. Until the ninth, the Curve had only three hits, two by Alfredo Reyes.

— West Virginia (46-37) wasted a good outing by Travis MacGregor (pictured) in a 7-2 loss to Hagerstown. MacGregor allowed two unearned runs — due to his own error — in five innings. He gave up three hits and a walk, and fanned six. The Power managed only four hits, although they did draw six walks. Cal Mitchell drove in both runs with a double; he went 1-3 with a walk.
Lolo Sanchez: 0-4

— Morgantown (10-13) lost to Auburn, 4-3. Michael Flynn gave up three runs in three and two-thirds innings. He allowed three hits and two walks while striking out two. Flynn, the team’s sixth-round draft pick, has had a difficult time so far. In three starts, he’s lasted seven and two-thirds, giving up 13 hits and ten earned runs. Michael De La Cruz, Brett Kinneman and Raul Siri each went 2-4 with a double. Grant Koch, playing his second game since signing, went 0-4.
