Game Thread: Holmes vs. Holland

Pittsburgh is set to take on San Francisco in game two of the four game set tonight at 10:15 pm EDT.

The Pirates have recalled Clay Holmes from AAA to make his first big league appearance since he threw six scoreless innings in a win against Milwaukee on July 14th.

Holmes will be facing San Francisco’s Derek Holland. Holland has had some tough luck recently, winless in his last six starts despite delivering five quality starts.
