Game Thread: Taillon vs. Quintana

MLB: Chicago Cubs at Pittsburgh Pirates Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Pirates will go for a split in the fourth and final game of their series against the Cubs Sunday at 1:35 p.m.. Jameson Taillon (9-9, 3.66) will try to stay hot against Jose Quintana (10-9, 4.46).

Taillon has pitched a quality start in six of his last seven outings, recording a 2.89 ERA, a 1.16 WHIP and a 2.76 FIP in that stretch. Quintana has allowed at least five runs in three of his last four outings.

The Pirates have only scored in one of the last 31 innings they batted in, so they may want to change that if they want to win. Just a suggestion.
