Game Thread: Williams vs. Mikolas

Here’s an early game thread for tonight’s game two match up in St Louis.

Trevor Williams is set to take on Miles Mikolas tonight. Williams has been red hot as of late, delivering quality starts in each of his last seven outings. This will be his second time facing St. Louis this month. He earned the loss back on August 5th while throwing five innings of two run ball.

Mikolas has put together an excellent 2018 campaign, going 13-3 on the year with a 2.94 ERA. That being said, he has faced the Pirates three times this season without earning a win (2 no decisions and 1 loss).

Pittsburgh’s offense will look to regain some traction against Mikolas as Williams closes out a stellar august.

Lineups aren’t posted yet but SROD is 1 for 3, with a home run, lifetime against Mikolas so look for him to be batting cleanup.
