Game Thread: Archer vs. Straily

Here’s the game thread for the game one match up between Pittsburgh and Miami.

Pittsburgh is sending Chirs Archer to the mound to face Miami’s Dan Straily. Archer was resurrected in his last start when he ditched the windup to throw six strong innings in the no decision against Atlanta. However, Dan Straily is coming off of an even stronger no decision where he allowed one earned run over eight innings of work against Toronto.

It is also worth noting that Kevin Kramer has been awarded his first big league start. He will be occupying second base while Mercer plays short.
