The Pirates have optioned four players to AAA:

We have optioned the below players to AAA Indianapolis:
Jesus Liranzo
Jason Martin
Aaron Slegers
Cole Tucker
There are now 49 active players in camp, including 17 non-roster players.
I’m guessing Bryan Reynolds would have been optioned as well, but he’s out right at the moment. These are all players who had no chance of making the team, but Martin and Tucker, at least, made impressive showings that hopefully will carry over into the season.
According to Bill Brink, the Pirates also reassigned right-hander Alex McRae to AAA.
