Paul Goldschmidt grabbed headlines with his three-home run game Friday, but the Cardinals ran into an even hotter start from Christian Yelich and dropped three of four in Milwaukee to open the season.
Cardinals pitchers surrendered nine home runs in the series. Starters Miles Mikolas, Dakota Hudson and Jack Flaherty got touched up the worst. Andrew Miller served up a tater and gave up two runs in his first two innings with St. Louis.
Goldschmidt added another blast Sunday for four on the young season. Kolten Wong hit two home runs on Opening Day and went 8-for-14 in the series.
Jedd Gyorko, Carlos Martinez, Brett Cecil and Luke Gregerson remain on the injured list.
