The Pirates have placed infielder Kevin Newman on the ten-day injured list, retroactive to Tuesday. And, no, it’s not fielding discomfort. He has a laceration on his right middle finger. He’s been replaced by Kevin Kramer, who’ll be active tonight.
ROSTER MOVE: We have recalled INF Kevin Kramer from Triple-A Indianapolis and have placed INF Kevin Newman on the 10-day injured list due to a laceration on his right middle finger (retro to April 9).
