I guess you can argue whether this is fitting or not. Personally, given my conviction that MLB routinely screws small market teams in this sort of matter (I’ll never get over the absence of any disciplinary action against the D’bags when they intentionally injured Andrew McCutchen and didn’t even deny it), I find this kinda funny. Then again, if it had been the Cubs or Dodgers, or any team associated with Tony LaRussa, and not the Reds, I don’t doubt the outcome would have been very different.
