That ended Indy’s six-game win streak. Rookie Davis pitched a lot better than his first time out, giving up a run on two hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out three. The other two runs came off Jesus Liranzo, who continues to struggle. He gave up two walks and a two-run homerun in two innings.

— Bradenton (7-4) is also having trouble on offense and lost today to Dunedin, 5-2. The offense came on a two-run longball by Travis Swaggerty, his first homerun of the year. He finished 1-4. Cal Mitchell was 1-3 with a walk. Oneil Cruz was back out of the lineup again. The Marauders had only five hits. Domingo Robles gave up five runs over five innings, on five hits and four walks. He fanned seven.
— Greensboro (6-5) rode 13 hits and seven walks to an 11-2 win over Charleston. Every Grasshopper had a hit except Jonah Davis, who was 0-4 with two walks. Connor Kaiser led the parade, going 3-5. Lolo Sanchez (pictured) stayed hot, raising his average to .375 by going 2-3 with a triple. Zack Kone was 2-5 with a double; Fabricio Macias 1-4 with a triple, a walk and three runs; and Patrick Dorrian 2-3 with a double. Braeden Ogle battled his command early and exited after three innings, having thrown 53 pitches. He gave up two runs on three hits, while walking and striking out one. Nick Economos followed with four shutout innings.
