Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Pirates fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

In the second week of our FanPulse surveying, Pirates fans were asked how they felt about the direction the franchise was headed. Not many were optimistic.

Pittsburgh has picked up just win in the young season so far, and that was enough to have the confidence fall even lower than the 31% who were confident heading into the season. Pirates fans’ approval of Clint Hurdle took a similar hit, dropping from 63% to 61% after the first week.
