Game Thread: Williams vs. Reds, Round II

MLB: Cincinnati Reds at Pittsburgh Pirates Philip G. Pavely-USA TODAY Sports

Trevor Williams will try to keep the Pirates pitching mojo going Saturday against the Reds. First pitch is at 1:35 p.m..

Pirates starters have a 1.25 ERA so far this season- the best in baseball.

Williams first start of the season against the Reds went very well, striking out six and walking one in his three hit, six inning shutout. He helped his own cause at the plate too, collecting two RBI.

Reds’ starter Tanner Roark also struck out six in his first start of the year, but the Brewers chased him after 4.1 innings of three run ball.

Jason Martin will make his MLB debut batting leadoff and playing left field. Martin batted .304 with a 1.043 OPS this spring. Jacob Stallings will make his first start of the season behind the plate.
