— Logan Hill (pictured) went 4-5 and fell a triple short of a cycle as Altoona (5-0) won again, 6-3, over Erie. Hill had two doubles and his first home run. Bligh Madris also drilled his first, and went 2-5. The Curve survived 14 strikeouts. Starter Pedro Vasquez allowed just a run on four hits in five innings. He walked none and struck out four. Yeudy Garcia threw three hitless and scoreless innings, with a walk and three strikeouts.
— Cody Bolton had a good 2019 debut as Bradenton (4-1) beat Charlotte, 6-1. Bolton allowed a run on just two hits in five innings. He walked none and fanned six, and needed only 60 pitches. Ike Schlabach followed with four shutout innings Everybody in the Marauders’ lineup had at least one hit except Dylan Busby, and he walked once and got hit twice. Lucas Tancas, Adrian Valerio and Daniel Amaral had two hits apiece. Gregory Polanco served as the DH and went 1-5.
