Game Thread: Rubber Match In Milwaukee

MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates at Milwaukee Brewers Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

The Pirates will try to cap their final roadtrip before the break on a high note, taking on the Brew Crew at 2:10 p.m..

Steven Brault (3-1, 4.50) will take the mound for the Bucs. His 3.67 ERA as a starter leads the Pirates among pitchers with at least three starts under their belt.

Brault turned in a gem three ago weeks in Milwaukee, allowing two runs in 6.1 innings of work. He has worked to a 2.03 ERA over his last five starts (26.2 IP/6 ER).

The Brewers will counter with Zach Davies (7-2, 3.34). While Davies’ overall body of work has been impressive, he’s been hit hard his last three outings, surrendering 14 runs (12 earned) in 11.2 innings pitched. He’s 2-0 against the Bucs this year, allowing five runs in 13 IP.
