Trevor Williams will try to get extract some revenge against the Mets Friday night.
Williams (3-4, 4.77) gave the Mets a battle in his most recent start on July 27, but they got the better of him in the later frames, scoring three runs on two homers.
Williams has allowed a home run in seven consecutive outings, including all six of his starts since coming off the IL. He never had a stretch of more than three consecutive outings surrendering a home run before this.
The Mets will start Steven Matz (6-6, 4.32). Matz pitched his first complete game shutout against the Pirates on July 27.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m., weather permitting.
