In these uncertain times, baseball seems to be the last thing on anyone’s mind, aside from desiring a much-needed distraction from the goings-on of our current world. With that in mind, I’m ready for your questions about all things Pittsburgh Pirates to take all our minds to a better place. The lack of baseball makes this an unusual version of Ask Bucs Dugout, but I would like to broaden the field of your questions to include past, present, and future Bucco curiosities.
I have to admit how hard it is to churn out content during all of this, and many ask how I can remain interested in the Pirates and baseball even when there isn’t a global pandemic enveloping our lives. The Pirates have been a constant source of insult for others when they are around me; they chide me for being interested in the team, deride me for being a fan, wonder how in the world I find baseball so exciting. All of us here at Bucs Dugout have a reason behind our love affair with the Pirates, even through all the pain they tend to cause us year in and year out.
I believe many of you would agree that you would do anything to have them back playing right now. So, for this edition of ABD, I want you to feel free to ask me any questions regarding the team but also share the reasoning behind your love affair with the Buccos. What has brought us all together time and time again on this site, at PNC Park, and behind our TV screens and FM radios to see the Buccos?
