Talk about coming out of left field! Former Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Jose Tabata dropped in on his neighbor, teenager Ryan Liss, during some makeshift batting practice and gave him some advice on his swing:
I was working off the tee and this guy walks up to me and says “I’ve been admiring your swing for a couple days now.” Jose Tabata, MLB Pirates OF, is my neighbor!! We have been working out everyday (w/ social distancing). #Unbelievable @FlatgroundBats @JRudd_Scout pic.twitter.com/L8zmhO6aeG

Tabata, drafted by the New York Yankees and became their number two prospect in 2008, played his entire major league career with the Pirates. He appeared in 509 games through six seasons, hitting .275 with 17 home runs and 126 RBIs.
Tabata finished eight overall in the 2010 Rookie of the Year voting.
What former or current Pirate would you want to be surprised by like this and what advice would you want him to give?
