Game Thread: Pirates at Brewers, 8/28/20

Tonight the Pittsburgh Pirates will be in Milwaukee to take on the Brewers in the first game of a four-game set.

Derek Holland takes the mound for the Pirates. In 23.1 innings pitched this season, he is 1-1 with a 6.17 ERA. In a start against the Brewers last Saturday, Holland went five innings, giving up just one run. He stuck out five and walked three in a victory.

For the Brewers, Corbin Burnes will get the start. This season, he is 0-0 with a 3.42 ERA over 26.1 innings pitched. In a start last Sunday against the Pirates, Burnes allowed three earned runs over 5.1 innings pitched. He struck out seven and walked two. The Pirates would eventually win that game as well by a score of 5-4. Although Burnes does not have a record this season, the Brewers have lost each of his past five starts.
