Game two of the Pirates/Reds doubleheader features RHP Mitch Keller (1-1, 3.52 ERA) for Pittsburgh and Anthony DeSclafani (1-2, 7.20 ERA) for Cincinnati.
Despite the Pirates tying the game at one apiece in the top the seventh, reliever Sam Howard couldn’t hold off the Reds offense as pinch hitter Tyler Stephenson knocked a two-run walkoff homer to clinch the victory for Cincinnati.
That puts the Pirates on a five-game losing streak (3-7 in their last 10) and gives the Reds two wins in a row (5-5 in their last ten).
