MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates at Chicago Cubs Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

In their final series of the season, the Pittsburgh Pirates will take on the Cleveland Indians.

Mitch Keller takes the mound tonight for the Pirates in Cleveland. This will be his fifth and final start of the year. In his previous start against the St. Louis Cardinals, Keller was spectacular pitching six no-hit innings. In that outing, he registered six strikeouts while walking two. It was the best start of his young career. Unfortunately, the Pirates would squander a 4-0 lead and eventually lose 5-4. While Keller only threw 84 pitches in the outing, pulling him after six innings was the correct decision as it was just his second start since returning from an injury.

For the Indians, Carlos Carrasco gets the start. Carrasco has been solid this season. In 11 starts, the 33-year-old right-hander is 3-4 with a 2.90 ERA. His fWAR of 1.4 is the 26th highest among major-league starters. In his last outing, Carrasco had his best start of the season as he tossed seven shutout innings. Over those seven innings, Carrasco struck out 11 and allowed just one hit. The Pirates’ hitters will have their hands full tonight.
