With October winding down and postseason baseball heating up, we figured that it would be fun to craft a list of the Pittsburgh Pirates’ top 10 postseason moments of all-time.

This is an opportunity to bring back some nostalgia and spread some positivity as we tune into the World Series.

Coming in at No. 2 on our list...

The 1979 Pirates became the fourth team in World Series history to come back from a 3-1 deficit to win it all, and they also became the last team to win a Game 7 on the road until 2014. In addition, it was a replay of the 1971 World Series, in which the Pirates also won in seven games over the Baltimore Orioles.

Willie Stargell won the the Series MVP after batting .400 with a record seven extra base hits, including going 4-for-5 in the decisive Game 7 with a single, two doubles, and a two-run homer to close out the Orioles.

In addition to Stargell, the team also featured Bill Madlock, Omar Moreno, Dave Parker, John Candelaria, Bert Blyleven, Kent Tekulve, Bill Robinson, Phil Garner, Tim Foli...

We Are Family, indeed.
