No matter the day, the Pirates world is always turning.
According to the team, OF Ben Gamel, who was claimed off waivers yesterday from the Cleveland Indians, has been activated by the team.
ROSTER MOVES: OF Ben Gamel, who was claimed off waivers from Cleveland on Sunday, is active for tonight’s game.

To make room on the active roster, we have designated INF Todd Frazier for assignment.
Gamel played 11 games with the Indians earlier this season before he was designated for assignment by the team on May 5, batting an abysmal .071.
In a corresponding move, the team designated veteran Todd Frazier for assignment.
There was a lot of buzz surrounding Todd Frazier coming to the ‘Burgh in spring training, but the buzz has not matched the production.
Frazier, 35, was batting just .086 and played in just 13 games for the club.
The move comes as a bit of a surprise considering 1B Colin Moran joined the 10-day IL over the weekend and Frazier has more experience as a first baseman. Gamel has only two career games at first.
Despite the lack of experience on the roster at first, the decision to DFA the “ToddFather” does not come as a surprise. He has not been able to capture the magic at the plate that the former Home Run Derby champ once had earlier in his career.
