The pessimists say that the Cardinals are playing crummy baseball right now, but we optimists are happy that the Pirates got another win on the road last night. Wil Crowe got his first MLB victory, and Ke’Bryan Hayes seems to be on the comeback trail after a bit of a slump at the plate, although he’ll be off today. The Bucs will try to make it three in a row this afternoon at 2:15 p.m. at Busch Stadium, sending JT Brubaker to the mound, who’s been more solid than his win/loss record might indicate. The Cardinals will counter with veteran Adam Wainwright, who may not be as scary as he once was but can still dominate.
The game thread’s open, I’ll be causing trouble here and on Twitter @BucsDugout throughout the game, and, as always, LET’S GO BUCS!!
