A unique 5:10 p.m. EST start time comes to start off the week as the Colorado Rockies host their “Opening Day 2.0” against our beloved Buccos.
The Pirates pulled off a crazy one yesterday after rookie Max Kranick made his MLB debut and threw five perfect innings. However, the team optioned him back to Indianapolis today to recall friend of the Talk The Plank podcast Cody Ponce.
The offense scored seven or more runs twice in their previous series against the Cardinals and will have the chance to do so again today in altitude-ridden Denver. But they’ll have to face Kyle Freeland, who gave up one run over six innings in his last start against the Mariners. They’ll also be tasked with playing without Adam Frazier, who has a scheduled day off today but is available to come off the bench.
BD, this is your game thread for today. Enjoy!
