————————————————————————————————————————————————
The Pirates look to squish the Fish sweep the Marlins this afternoon at PNC Park after a wild twelve-inning game last night that saw a few lead changes before the Bucs could finally claim victory. As I noted in last night’s game thread, my husband and I were at the game, which was as well populated as it can be in this still restricted time, and it was a good one.
Bucs continue to come back from the IL. Colin Moran is in the lineup for the first time since May eighth (welcome back, Redbeard!), and Chad Kuhl is making his second start after his time on the IL. Kuhl Whip managed four innings with three earned runs in Kansas City last Tuesday, and MLB.com noted that he’s only gone at least five innings once this season. Baby steps.
The Marlins’ starter today, Sandy Alcantara, suffered a loss last Tuesday to the Blue Jays, mostly due to Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s three-run blast, but he generally doesn’t give up a lot of runs.
Your game thread is now open and, as always, LET’S GO BUCS!
