This team man.
The Pirates have had an extra pep in their step since 3B Ke’Bryan Hayes re-entered the lineup last week. The team is 3-1 and their rookie third baseman has been on fire, hitting 7-17 in his first series back from injury.
He started his first at bat against the Dodgers right where he left off from the weekend, taking Walker Buehler deep in the first inning to give the Buccos a 1-0 lead, except he didn’t.
Something you don't see every day!

Ke'Bryan Hayes hit a home run for the Pirates, but missed first base. The #Dodgers challenged and won. Hayes is out! pic.twitter.com/RsAqyLRCoS
It’s a real shame for Hayes, who has been nothing but sensational so far this season. But once again, the Pirates are plagued with another Little League mistake. This also shouldn’t take away from Hayes’ earlier accomplishments this season. I mean, he did just hit a home run off of one of the best pitchers in the game on this play.
This is nothing against the Pirates, but this team really needs to not be so scared of touching first base. It won’t bite.
