With the Pirates splitting yesterday’s doubleheader against the Brew Crew, the good guys have a chance to win the series today.

If the Pirates want to win today’s game, it will likely need a good showing from starting pitcher Dillon Peters, who makes his Pirates debut today after being called up from AAA-Indianapolis. In a corresponding move, the team placed yesterday’s Game 1 starter, Bryse Wilson, on the 10-day IL.

The team also activated Ben Gamel off the injured list and he’ll bat in the leadoff spot today. After bringing Gamel up, the team placed Anthony Alford on the IL.

BD, this is your Sunday afternoon game thread. Enjoy!
