The Pirates were able to snag two out of three against the Cardinals over the weekend and it will now look to gain some momentum as the Diamondbacks come to town.

When the Pirates visited the D-backs earlier this season, they were swept by the MLB’s worst team.

As two of the four 80-loss teams in baseball, this series could have major draft implications moving forward with just a little over a month left in the season.

Even if losses may help the Pirates advance one spot up in the draft order, wins are what the players on the field strive for, so for the Pirates’ sake, let’s hope they can grab some wins this week in front of the home crowd.
