The Pirates are looking to snap a six-game losing streak with the Detroit Tigers on deck. Back in April, the Buccos grabbed two of three against the Tigers in Detroit, but a lot has changed since then. The Tigers are 58-61 since that game, playing close to .500. The Pirates are on a bit of a different path.

The Pirates won their ninth game of the year against the Tigers, and have since gone 39-79, falling to the bottom of the barrel in the NL Central.

The Tigers are fresh off taking two out of three from the playoff-contending Reds, which complicates the Pirates’ chances of winning this week. But maybe with some help from the baseball gods, the Buccos can notch a tally in the win column this week.
