SB Nation Reacts results: Pirates early performance not sustainable

You called the slippage.

MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates at Baltimore Orioles Reggie Hildred-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Pittsburgh Pirates fans and fans across the country.Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

We had a delay on this one. We posted the initial survery back on May 4, with plans to post the results in a week, as usual, but then I got sick (stomach virus!) and then was out of town on business for a few days, so I’m just now getting the card made. And with Pittsburgh’s performance since then, you don’t need me or some graphic card to give you the answer to our question — which seemed more pertinent back when we asked it.

But I’m sure you would like to see the percent results, and I have those for you right now. Here’s how you all voted:

So almost 70 percent of you called the slippage from the Buccos, though with the team still sitting above .500 and in second place in the NL Central, if you told any of us back February or March that this would be the case, I think we all would take it.

Thanks for being patient with me on the results. Here’s to the Buccos getting back on the winning track.
