Connor Joe is batting .245 with 9 HRs and a OPS+ of 106. So he is a little better than the average player. He plays corner OF and 1B. While he has not been really that good, he does fill a role.

Going into 2024, 1B is still an unsettled position. Maybe Andujar will show something here in Sept. It doesn't look we will get to see Nunez this year. Endy can play some 1B as well.

There is some FAs available like CJ Cron, Rhys Hoskins (hurt for all of 2023), Brandon Belt, Garrett Cooper, Carlos Santana (again), and maybe Josh Bell. None of them are really long term options. A trade for Goldschmidt is something I'd consider if the Ratbirds want to unload his salary.

So 1B is really up in the air. I'd bring by Joe because he is cheap, not arb eligible until 2025, and not a FA until 2028. Plus he will only be 27 next season. All the Bucs have to do is keep him on the roster. My hope is that Nunez will be given a chance and show us something. Boy would that make the deal with the Ratbirds a real steal!
